Nintendo is best known as for making family-friendly video games, and its efforts to appeal to players of all ages has been one of the driving factors behind The Legend of Zelda series' content alterations. Several The Legend of Zelda remakes and remasters have changed or censored content from their original versions in the past, and this may continue with future rereleases, depending on the game. One of the major potential differences between Mario's recent remasters and any planned Zelda remakes, though, could be changes to the in-game content. 2021 marks the 35th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, and if Mario's 35th anniversary is any indication, there are sure to be some remakes or remasters releasing at some point this year.
